Hanging Rock State Park

In July, we met up with Blair's sister and family at Hanging Rock State Park. We picnicked, explored a waterfall and ended with lake swimming. With our families living in different sates, we don't get to see each other as often as we would like, but I love that all the cousins can pick up right where they left off.

We hope to meet up again soon. Such a fun day trip enjoying the great outdoors.

Laine, McKinly, Easton, Cole and Mead. They have so much fun together

Even in July, the water was in the 50's. Brrrrrr

Scout Summer Camp

All the boys attended Cub Scout summer camp. Blair always takes the week off to spend time with the boys and help with the camp. It is very hot and long week. The boys complain a bit about how hot it is, and we get that. Plus, they do a lot of the same things year after year. This may be the boys last summer attending scout camp. We talked about Blair still taking off a week during summer, but instead of summer camp, taking a road trip to Washington, DC or another historical site. That is something they would all love.

Karaffa/Fitch Family Vacation

This summer, we took a family trip to the beach. We plan a trip every June with my brother and his family to celebrate our Dad's Birthday, Father's Day and to spend time all together. We try to go some place different every year. Rose's Mom has two amazing condos right on the water, so we each had our own place to stay-so awesome!

We missed having my Mom with us, she was away in Ohio taking care of our Mamaw. We wished she was there with us, but are thankful she was able to be there for her mom and family in the final weeks.

We packed a lot of fun in the week long vacation. I am pretty sure Poppy had more fun than the kids. He couldn't get enough of the water park. At 60 years old he was flying down water slides and standing under huge buckets of water. It was awesome seeing his inner child come out to play. You're never too old to have fun!

We are already looking forward our next family vacation together. We booked a cruise, next year, but the kids won't find out until Christmas. We are so excited! Blair and I wanted to take the boys on a cruise, and being with their cousins and grandparents will make the trip even more amazing.
