Scout Summer Camp

All the boys attended Cub Scout summer camp. Blair always takes the week off to spend time with the boys and help with the camp. It is very hot and long week. The boys complain a bit about how hot it is, and we get that. Plus, they do a lot of the same things year after year. This may be the boys last summer attending scout camp. We talked about Blair still taking off a week during summer, but instead of summer camp, taking a road trip to Washington, DC or another historical site. That is something they would all love.

Karaffa/Fitch Family Vacation

This summer, we took a family trip to the beach. We plan a trip every June with my brother and his family to celebrate our Dad's Birthday, Father's Day and to spend time all together. We try to go some place different every year. Rose's Mom has two amazing condos right on the water, so we each had our own place to stay-so awesome!

We missed having my Mom with us, she was away in Ohio taking care of our Mamaw. We wished she was there with us, but are thankful she was able to be there for her mom and family in the final weeks.

We packed a lot of fun in the week long vacation. I am pretty sure Poppy had more fun than the kids. He couldn't get enough of the water park. At 60 years old he was flying down water slides and standing under huge buckets of water. It was awesome seeing his inner child come out to play. You're never too old to have fun!

We are already looking forward our next family vacation together. We booked a cruise, next year, but the kids won't find out until Christmas. We are so excited! Blair and I wanted to take the boys on a cruise, and being with their cousins and grandparents will make the trip even more amazing.

Last Day of School

We now have a 5th and 2nd grader. Love these boys so much. Growing up is bitter/sweet for sure, but I cannot wait to see what God has in store for their lives.

Scouts- Level Up

Our pack takes most of the summer off, which is a nice break for everyone. We now have an Arrow of Light and Wolf. This was right before summer break and we are now back in full swing. Easton and Blair just got back from a fun camping weekend with our scout group. Looking forward to another awesome year in scouts.

First Book Series

Before school let out this summer, McKinly completed his first book series. He loves to read adventure, survival and world war books. And while he has great intentions finishing books that interest him, sometimes he doesn't follow through. However, he flew through this series. I was a great tale of adventure mixed with survival.- right up his alley.

I hope the boys will always love to read. It makes my heart so happy when I hear them say "You know Mommy, the book is way better than the movie." This is so true too. I tell them often, no Hollywood studio can recreate the images your imagination can conjure. Imagination is a powerful tool, use it daily.

Happy 10th Birthday, McKinly!

It is hard to believe our first born baby is now double digits. Wow, unreal. We celebrated on May 25th with all of McKinly's favorites-Fortnite, pizza, and buckets of candy. He was in heaven! We cannot get enough of his sweet spirit, his zest for life, his infectious smile, his hilarious sense of humor and his love for family. He truly is such a blessing. We cannot wait to see what God has in store for your next ten years. We love you so very much!
